  Participants in DETA use technology to improve student achievement in core curriculum areas; learn strategies for integrating technology that can be incorporated into daily practice; and learn how to use new technologies such as Internet-based curriculum and digital tools.
- GLIDES
  
  GLIDES projects feature student-centered learning environments through technology enhanced project-based learning (PBL). The learning environments focus on key elements of 21st Century Learning to prepare students with necessary workplace skills.
- Digital Classrooms
  
  Digital classroom contain 21st century tools for teaching and learning. These tools include infrastructure support technology (wiring and electrical) as well as digital devices (laptops and LCD projectors) and resources for use by students and teachers.

  There are many ways to keep up with what our department is doing. Facebook, Twitter, RSS, Podcasts – you name it and we're making sure you're up-to-date with the latest technology and how to utilize it in your classroom to further engage your students.

…are undergoing a remarkable transformation, and the vision is to close the gap between how students live and how they learn in school. This is also essential if we are to provide equal opportunities for our students as it becomes apparent that students without access to technology at either school or at home will be at a disadvantage in 21st century society. Therefore, providing students with routine and regular access to technology both from school and home will be an integral part of our educational plan.
